Ashley & Alan’s wedding day is one that is near and dear to my heart! Alan’s sister, Allison has been one of my best friends for many years and along with that, her family has become like family to me! Needless to say, it was such an honor when Ashley & Alan asked me to capture their wedding. These two love all things southern. Ashley did such a wonderful job planning out every tiny detail of her day. She had adorable floral robes, pumpkin centerpieces, and a homemade bar made by her dad! Plus, their whole bridal party and family rocked cowboy boots!
Ashley + Alan had their wedding at Howe Farms, which I must say was STUNNING! It overlooked the mountains and had the cutest white chapel I’ve ever seen. From the start of the day to until the very end, there was so much joy and laughter. I’m always one to cry behind the camera and the Walden wedding was no exception. They chose acoustic versions of country songs to walk down the aisle to and they simply were perfect and so emotional. After they said I do before their closest friends and family, these two danced the night away! There was no shortage of dancing or crowd surfing! September 23, 2017 was such a special & fun day! Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Walden!!
P.S. My hubby second shot this wedding with me- HAPPY HEART! I loved having him around.
Boone is the absolute cutest!! He even walked down the aisle!
Time for the ceremony!
Seriously, the most beautiful ceremony location!
And now reception time! Ashley's dad MADE this awesome bar!
Gotta love cake toppers! ;)
Ashley + Alan sure knew how to make an entrance! Alan even slid down the railing!
They both had cake ALL over their faces after the cake cutting! haha
And then we snuck away for the most beautiful sunset pictures!
Then, we headed back down to the patio for the father/daughter + mother/son dances! It was so sweet seeing how happy Ashley's dad was for her!
And I DEFINITLY cried during this dance.. Sweet Kelly is my favorite!!!
Due to some lighting, we headed back inside for the rest of the reception!
It was hard to narrow down to just a few reception pictures, there are so many hilarious ones!
Congratulations to the new MR. & MRS. Walden!
Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your best day!

Sophie and Lane reached out to me almost a year ago about capturing their wedding day. We hopped on a phone call and instantly I knew this was my kind of bride! Sophie and Lane love the Lord deeply and wanted their wedding vendors to reflect the love of Jesus throughout the day. I couldn’t wait for their Labor Day weekend wedding and it did not disappoint! The morning started out foggy and wet, but by midday, it had turned into a beautiful, sunny day. Sophie + Lane chose the amazing Barclay Villa to have their wedding out and let’s just say I was in love!! Sophie’s florals and her wooden sign details were perfect!! From the beginning of the day until the final kiss of their sparkler exit, Sophie had a huge smile on her face full of excitement. I might have happy cried a little when she did her first look with her dad- it was so obvious how much he loves and cares for his little girl... And I might have cried when they exchanged vows (so sweet!). It was so hard narrowing down pictures for the blog post! There is so much I could say about every part of Sophie + Lane’s day, but I’ll let their joy speak for itself! See below!
P.S. They had a popcorn bar as their favor for guests… can I get an AMEN!
Sophie included a piece of her grandma's lace on her bouquet and she also made her flower girl a handkerchief that she could one day use on her wedding day.. Oh how I love details that hold such special meaning!
Sophie's bridesmaids had the best reaction to seeing how beautiful she looked her in dress!
CUE THE TEARS! Just look at the way her dad looks at her. Dads + Daughters on wedding days truly make me so emotional. Sophie even made him cuff links promising to always be his little girl!
The flower arch- YES! So beautiful.. And now ceremony time!
Lane's reaction was perfect.. He shed a few tears over how beautiful his bride was!
Lane + Sophie had the cutest nieces and nephews!
These two have such fun, silly personalities and it was so obvious how happy they make one another!
Time for the Reception! I must say their cake + cake pups were the yummiest ever!!
Congratulations to the new Mr. + Mrs. Ethridge!!
Thank you Sophie and Lane for trusting me with your day. I pray that the Lord blesses your marriage and you both continue to share the love of Jesus like you already do!

The Aitken wedding will forever be one of my favorite days. Couples like Connor + Amanda leave me feeling so, so grateful that I get to capture weddings as my job! Their families, bridal party, and the bride and groom were truly the kindest people. They tied the knot at a beautiful venue in Magnolia, Texas. From the moment I arrived at the venue, everyone there was so joyful and excited for the marriage of this sweet, sweet couple. Connor + Amanda actually went to high school with one another, but it wasn’t until after they went their separate ways for the next four years that they returned to Texas only to reunite at the YMCA! They ran into each other after working out, and the rest is history! They planned their wedding fairly quickly, but every detail was absolutely gorgeous! Not to mention, they had the most wonderful team of vendors and wedding coordinators! I loved how Amanda surrounded herself with prayer throughout the entire day. She was so peaceful and full of anticipation to see her groom. They chose to pray together before the wedding, but not see each other and it was emotional in the best way. As they committed to each other before the Lord and their closest family and friends, I couldn’t help becoming emotional myself! Connor + Amanda value marriage and all the goodness and challenges that will come with it. It was so evident as they stole glances at each other throughout the day how much they love each other. I simply cannot put words to it! I am such a sap and a fan of marriage; I love seeing couples that rejoice in the gift that it is! They ended their night dancing and laughing away with friends. The DJ concluded the reception by having everyone form a giant circle. Amanda + Connor ran around the circle dancing and thanking all their guests for coming. It was so fun & unique! As they start their new life in Nashville, TN soon, I wish them nothing but the best and am still so honored to have been able to be apart of this special day!
The beautiful bridal reveal! Her bridesmaids had the best reaction!
As they prayed together before the ceremony, you could feel the anticipation and the joy! They couldn't stop smiling!
And they're officially married!!! Pure JOY!
Stealing those first kisses as Mr. & Mrs!!
Time for the Reception!!!
Coming in hot to the reception!
I absolutely adore Father Daughter dances!
How cute!! Amanda's family choreographed a little dance for the bride + groom!
Cake cake cake! One of my favorite things about weddings!
It was hard to choose dancing pictures- they had a plethora of awesome dancers!
The sweetest way to send off Amanda + Connor! Glowsticks & Bubbles!
I wish you both the happiest marriage! Thank you again for letting me capture your wedding day!

It has been such a crazy, overwhelming, and absolutely wonderful season of life since Adam and I relocated to Georgia. We moved into our first home and have for the most part settled in. There are still a lot of pictures to be hung and decorating to be done, but for now it is perfectly cozy! No doubt my favorite of the house is the screened in back porch. I spend every morning out there reading & drinking my espresso. I then venture inside to my OFFICE to start my editing for the day! I worked at the kitchen table in Virginia, so when we found a place with enough space for me to have an office, I shrieked with joy! Having my own space now makes a world of difference. With the morning sun pouring through the front windows and my favorite worship music on, I feel super motivated to tackle all things business (especially with cute motivational coffee mugs!).
In other news, I got a part time job! As soon as we moved, I saw a post in the local Tuesday’s Together page by a florist looking for help. If you know me, you know I LOVE flowers and anything floral. I immediately contacted her and here we are almost three months later! I work for the wonderful Jackie Hites of Blooming Hites Floral and Event Design. She owns the cutest shop in historic Roswell and designs the most beautiful blooms. We instantly clicked and she’s been such a great friend as I transitioned into Georgia. Beyond her sweet friendship, she has introduced me to so many amazing vendors and venues in the area. It has been such a blessing and I have learned the coolest stuff…One day, I might even add a floral section onto a photography package- it is so fun!! It brings out a new creative side I'd yet to have ventured in, and gives me an entirely different perspective in the wedding industry. I have a new level of respect for all you florists out there! I bring my camera to every wedding & event and snap pictures of her gorgeous work, which I’ll soon be sharing more often. Here below is one of the first weddings I did with her, as well as a picture of Jackie, myself, and our precious pups Maverick & Nora!
Besides my photography business and part time job, I now spend a lot of my time snuggling and playing with our beagle puppy, Nora Mae! After Adam and I got married, we made a deal once we moved out of our apartment in Virginia, we could get a puppy! Well, that move happened early May and we then decided it would be best to wait until we got back from our cruise in June to get one. Once we returned, I had been looking at rescues all over the state of Georgia for the perfect pup for our family. We traveled back to Virginia for the fourth of July and I was scrolling through adoptapet.com and as soon as I saw Nora, I knew immediately she was the one!! We adopted her from a rescue called Heart for Hounds. They rescue dogs in rural, southern shelters that are considered “high-kill” locations. Most of the dogs are ex-hunting dogs that have been abandoned and left to be euthanized at these shelters. Sweet Nora’s mom had a liter of 7 puppies, and she was being fostered with the one sister she had left. I quickly filled out the application and two days later, we trekked 11 hours back home with an 8 week old puppy. Surprisingly, she did great and she has adjusted to her new home quite easily! She loves to bite everything and cuddle when she sleeps. My heart couldn’t possibly be any happier!
Finally, and very importantly, Adam and I have found a church!! We struggled in Virginia to truly settle and get plugged in with the crazy hours Adam worked and knowing we would be relocating within a year. Though, before I even officially moved to Georgia, with the help of my dad, we found Canton Church. We love the authenticity and community found there and I am so excited to see how the Lord uses us at Canton Church. Our schedules now allow us to be much more involved, and I am stoked about it!
Overall, this summer so far has been filled with many exciting trips and weddings. We went on a cruise with my family, visited Adam’s family for the holiday, and I wrap up this month flying out to Texas to shoot a wedding! It has been busy, but the best kind of busy. I am intentionally trying to slow down, take time with my family and friends, and be fully present in this season we are in. As we wrap up the summer and head into the fall, I cannot wait for the rest of the weddings and wonderful couples I get a chance to work with in 2017! I’m now booking for 2018 and hope to find some awesome brides in Georgia!
Thanks for reading!
Michaela + Austin had the most wonderful wedding this past Sunday at Stratton Hall in Downtown Chattanooga, TN. The forecast had been calling for a 80-90% chance of rain, but it turned out to be the most gorgeous day! I don’t even know where to begin with these two. They truly are some of the kindest people you’ll ever encounter and I still feel pretty blessed that Michaela asked me to be her wedding photographer. I knew Michaela and Austin separately before I knew them together and it is SO cool to see how the Lord brings two people together for Kingdom purpose. They incorporated the verse Ecclesiastes 4:12 “…a cord of three strands is not easily broken” into their ceremony as they tied three strands of rope together & made their vows to one another before the Lord. The way they prayed over each other and their marriage brought me to tears. If you cannot tell from these pictures below, Michaela radiated pure joy the entire day. She was an absolutely stunning bride! She wore the biggest smile and said thank you to family, friends, and vendors’ countless times. When their wedding day was suppose to be all about them, Michaela and Austin made sure to let everyone in attendance know how important their prayers and presence at their wedding meant to them. But, when the two of them took the dance floor, it was as though no one else was in the room. The song they chose to dance to held such a special meaning for them and as they sang it to each other, I simply felt the faithfulness of the Lord in that moment. Austin pursued Michaela’s heart until she was ready and I’m sure he would agree it was totally worth it. They then cut the cake, danced, + celebrated the night away with all their friends and family! What a day. Thank you Austin + Michaela for being such sweethearts! Congratulations to the new Mr. + Mrs. Murray!!
Austin always joked he would get her wool socks in case she got cold feet! :) And they agreed they weren't getting each other gifts.. so Michaela was both surprised and emotional- so precious!
All dressed up & ready to get married!
A private moment of prayer together.
First kiss as Mr. & Mrs. Murray!
Reception time! Hooray for pretty flowers & a yummy candy bar!
The sweetest first dance! Cue the tears!
Congratulations Michaela + Austin!! I

Congratulations to these seniors!!! They graduated from Gardner-Webb University this past weekend and I am so proud of each one of them! This particular senior session was near and dear to my heart. Kacy, Taylor, and Jené were three of my college volleyball teammates. Not only were they teammates, but some of my great friends. It was such a joy getting to know them during college and now celebrating them as they head into the real world! All three of them are heading to the West Coast!! Taylor and Jené are traveling back to their home state of California to pursue their Masters, while Kacy is packing up for Washington State for an awesome new job! I'm so proud of them & I absolutely loved being able to send them off into the next chapter of their lives with some memories of their senior year. There is nothing like the bond of college teammates, I'm super thankful for that. Cheers to all 2017 Graduates!
It’s official… we are moving to ATLANTA, GA!!!!!!! My heart seriously could not be anymore excited and let me tell you why. When Adam first accepted this job that brought him to VA in May 2015, he knew that it wasn’t going to be a super long stint. He actually works in North Carolina and commutes an hour and five minutes EACH way into work! Bless his heart- it is a dreadful drive. But, when I joined him here in April 2016, he began to think the next location we would head to was Richmond, VA. The holidays passed and things started to shift within the company. At this point, I began to accept the sad fact that we were leaving. A lot of Adam’s family lives in the area, and I LOVE being able to spend time with them every weekend. They have been my biggest support system in my business and have welcomed me with such open arms. In the short year that I’ll have lived in VA, I have also made some wonderful, amazing, life long friendships. I’m going to have to write an entire separate blog post about that- I could go on for days.
Anyways, the Richmond opportunity came & went and the next location was Texas!!! I support Adam with my whole heart and want to see him succeed, but I’d be lying if I said I initially was okay with Texas. It took me a while to digest moving halfway across the country!! I prayed about it and felt a peace knowing that if the Lord led us there, doors of opportunity would certainly be opened. I didn’t always feel like that though. I would just have days where I’d go on about all my favorite things that weren’t there: HomeGoods, Anthropologie, Dunkin’, and the YMCA. Then, I would get over it and be excited for a new adventure. Then…. The Atlanta position opened up. I wouldn’t even let myself get excited about it. I love, and I mean LOVE, to plan. Adam does as well, so this entire moving situation has forced us to step back and ultimately put our plans on the backburner and trust that the Lord has a better plan for us than we could ever dream of. He has been so faithful thus far in my business and Adam’s career, and I have no doubt he will continue to be so.
Well, long story short, everything fell into place and Adam was offered the Atlanta position. I could not sleep I was SO excited!!! For those of you who don’t know, Atlanta is only an hour and a half away from my hometown of Chattanooga, TN….and where my parents are!!!!!! I love spending time with my family more than anything and being that close certainly means I will be there (frequently) on Sunday afternoons for some pork chops and laughs! I think my parents are equally as excited as I am! Also, so many of my best friends still live in the area. I’ve been 5-10+ hours away for the last 5 years, and I don’t even have the words to say how excited I am to spend more time with some of my favorite people.
As for the business side, I am also ecstatic! Most of my business so far has been in North Carolina or Tennessee. I still love any excuse to go visit my sister and her hubby in Raleigh, NC, and would love to continue shooting weddings in the area. As far as Chattanooga goes, I would love to shoot more there!! It will be no longer be a 10-hour drive, praise the Lord! Finally, to the wonderful Virginia community, I would still love to be apart of your stories and wedding days. The couples I have been able to serve this past year have been nothing short of amazing and I always as with Raleigh, I love to visit my VA family too.
There is no question that these next few months hold a whole lot of change. As Adam and I approach our first anniversary in less than a month, I often sit back and reflect on this past year. Marriage is my greatest earthly gift. It inspires me to love with more than I thought I could, to serve when I don’t always feel like it, and to encourage my best friend to chase after his dreams. I love having a safe place to rest and share what is on my heart in all seasons. I have learned so much about myself and the calling the Lord has on my life in the past 11 months. I cannot wait to pursue this next adventure with my sweet husband by my side. Atlanta, Georgia… Here come the Tillers! Cheers!!!
What a perfect wedding to kick off the 2017 wedding season! Their day was such a dream! From the start of the day, both Rebecca and Greyson were relaxed, joyful, and visibly grateful. They made sure to thank all their family and friends in attendance multiple times. They spent time walking around to each table to thank those who helped celebrate with them on their most special day. I loved that! It's so easy for brides to get caught up in emotion and the hustle of the day, but Rebecca made a point to slow down and rest in all the goodness that brought her to this day. Her story made me tear up behind the camera several times during the day. Rebecca incorporated so many sweet details to honor and remember her father. It always fills my heart up to the brim to see how prayer and the faithfulness of God work together. Rebecca + Greyson, you two are a wonderful match for one another. I am excited for the life you both have ahead of you! Enjoy a quick peak at this gorgeous day! *You don't want to miss the awesome dancing that happened at the reception!*
This necklace was engraved with the handwriting from her note her dad wrote her. So, so precious. The necklace is resting on the veil Rebecca wore, which was also her mother's veil! I love when people use their family heirlooms- adds such a special touch!
Having a first look with your bridesmaid- YES!
The prettiest details!
First looks are the best! It gives bride and grooms a moment to be still on their wedding day and squeeze each other with excitement! Rebecca and Greyson couldn't stop smiling, or hugging, or saying I love you. SO SWEET!
Everyone in the windows trying to watch their first look. So they had to turn around and wave hello!
Rebecca was such a beautiful bride!!
Rebecca's father collected classic books, and in reverence of him, Rebecca + Greyson set out some of their favorites in a chair to honor his life.
Time for the Reception! The decorations were beautiful & the food was delicious!
Introducing the new Mr. + Mrs. Sargent!
Time to dance!! They had the best band & the best guests. See for yourself how great of dancers were there! (Side note: Rebecca and most of her bridesmaids were dancers in college, so fun! )
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Greyson Sargent! It was such an honor to be apart of your big day. I wish you both the best and a wonderful, happy marriage!
Maggie + MIchael had the most wonderful weather for their early November wedding. Plenty of sunshine, a crisp breeze, and lots of love! I am so thankful I was able to capture this day for them. Maggie and Michael had a quick engagement and planned their beautiful day rather quickly to ensure all their family would be able to attend. It was so clear the minute I walked through the door, these two care deeply about each other and their families. They were surrounded by those that love them and support them most. Maggie's sweet grandmother HANDMADE her gorgeous veil for her wedding day, as she had also done for both of Maggie's two sisters.. Scroll down and look at the veil yourself! It's amazing and so precious. Maggie was such a kind and stunning bride! She radiated with joy. Not to mention, poor Maggie was sick on her wedding day. But, one look at her bridal portraits you would never know! She glowed and smiled from the start to the very end. Maggie + Michael were so easy to photograph- they could not hide how happy they were to simply rest on the sweet promise of marriage. So many times, they would just hug and stay in that embrace knowing they were finally husband and wife! I could say so much more, but I will let the images speak for themselves! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Maunder! I wish and pray you have a wonderful marriage.
I love when bridesmaids surround the bride in prayer before ceremony. So sweet!
Time to get married! The Ring Bearer walked the entire way like this :)
Portrait Time... My favorite!
Time for the Reception.. It was just down the road at Oaklette United Methodist- which I might say had beautiful doorways! And, I just loved Maggie's centerpieces!
Maggie + Michael's first dance was awesome! She had the perfect dress for all the twirling!
Maggie + Michael let me steal them away for some portraits during the reception..! They're too precious together
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Maunder!
Caroline + Zach's could not have asked for better weather for their September wedding at Stonewall Farms. Their ceremony was perfectly shaded and had the prettiest view of a small lake behind where they became husband and wife. Caroline was so easy-going and kind throughout her entire day, while it was still so obvious how much joy she contained knowing she was about to marry the man that the Lord perfectly designed for her. I'm so grateful I got to be a part of their day! Not to mention, my sister, Emily Warrick Wedding + Events was the coordinator... And to really top it off, my brother-in-law was the pastor for the ceremony. I absolutely loved working with my family to make Caroline + Zach's wedding day exactly what they envisioned! & P.S. Caroline made all of her flower arrangements and bouquet! HOW PRETTY!
Congratulations Caroline + Zach!!!
